Industry Overview

          For my class Industry Overivew (Industry Overview explores the nature of the writing industry. It will explore experienced practitioners and experts from different aspects of the industry.) I have to write about all the people who visited the class and spoke about the profession that they are in. AND SO HERE IT IS! Considering my blog is about writing, and my life, and how I go about being a young adult in the brand new world I thought I’d put it here. c: I hope whoever is reading this finds it interesting.           Okay so since my course ends in two weeks (wow, two weeks) and all my things are due this week this is THE LAST BLOG POST I’M MAKING! … kidding, I actually like blogging if that makes sense? I’ve kind of always wanted to blog anyways, so this blog gave me a good opportunity to blog of sorts. Okay so this entry should have a theme like my other blog entries do, except I’ve already had a blog entry on depression and sort of death… hum.

Fifty thousand

          I never understood why I want to do this, but I am. I’m writing 50 thousand words in a month (I’m currently sitting at 10,032 words right now which is pretty amazing considering that if you go by the word count to get 50k by November 30th is 1,667, I’m already at day 6 and it’s day 4). But I do, and I have to say I’m proud of myself for actually doing this. Though it’s kind of weird because so many of my friend’s are freaking out and wondering “WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO YOURSELF???” of course they aren’t shouting, and they don’t think I’m in harm; however they are surprised that I’m even attempting this. I think it’s the idea of the word ‘fifty thousand‘ it’s not much really, it’s the size of a novel whether it be paperback (35k – 80k) or hardcover (25k – 150k).
